The Brand

OnlineNEX by RecruitMag

A no-nonsense deployment resource built for the people who actually go — and the families who hold it down while they're gone.

What OnlineNEX is

OnlineNEX is the deployment preparation resource from RecruitMag. Our flagship project, A Sailor's Sea Bag, is a living, sailor-informed packing guide that breaks down what to bring on deployment — organized by category and tagged by priority so you can pack smart instead of packing everything.

Every recommendation is built around what experienced sailors actually talk about: the rack fan that saves your sleep, the portable charger that never leaves your pocket, the coffee setup that carries a mid-watch. Useful over flashy, every time.

Who it's for

First and foremost, the sailor who just got orders and has no idea what to throw in a sea bag. But also the parents, grandparents, spouses, girlfriends, and boyfriends trying to help — whether they're packing alongside their sailor or sending a care package across an ocean.

What RecruitMag is

Recruit Mag

RecruitMag is an independent military lifestyle and media brand. Beyond deployment gear, RecruitMag covers geopolitics, public health and readiness, technology, gaming, the outdoors, and military culture — the whole life, not just the uniform.

Issue #1 launches September 1, 2026, and the first edition is free for everyone who reserves a copy.

RecruitMag and OnlineNEX are published by Recruit Creative Studios (Est. 2026).

Independence & honesty

OnlineNEX is not affiliated with NEXCOM, the Navy Exchange, the Department of Defense, or any branch of the armed forces. We're an independent resource, and your command's official guidance always takes priority over anything here.
